While we are also told we will not know the time of the End, God obviously wanted us to know when that time was getting closer. As the Christian church is increasingly drawn into the interfaith movement, and as more and more churches go into isolation, preparing to sleep through the growing attacks on their faith, perhaps God knew it would take a few signs to wake us up and remind us that we have work to do. Unfortunately, many Christians take the verses that tell us we won't know the time of His coming to mean they should ignore any and all scripture that might warn us of this time of tribulation. God included it in the Bible and, since God is all knowing, we should trust that it is something we should know and study along with the rest of His Word. Christians need to become strong, stick together as a community, and preach the word loud and clear. The internet is a great tool to do this.
